As the name suggests, a beach towel is meant to be used on beaches and a bath towel is used post-bath/shower. There’s nothing more luxurious than a thick and fluffy bath towel, and it’s that plushness that’s going to help absorb all that water off you after your shower. Beach towels on the other hand are much thinner since they’re mostly there to keep the hot sand off your body while you’re sun bathing at the beach. This also helps them dry quicker out in the summer sun.
Beach towels denote sun and fun, but they also do much more. They signal our minds to slow down and our senses to perk up. They tell us that the freshest corn and ripest tomatoes are just a farm stand visit away, and could be on the table tonight. They hint that the sand is still stuck between someone’s toes, or that it’s about to be, and subtly urge us to relax and check in with the important things in life family, fun, and friendship.
You’ve showered and your body is as clean as can be. Don’t ruin your clean with a dirty towel! You also shouldn’t trade that delicious feeling of wrapping up in a fluffy towel for the disappointment of a coarse, scratchy towel. Use our tips on how to get soft and clean towels to optimize your towel experience and treat your body well.
